Privacy Policy
Bulk Research Supply ("we," "us," or "our") operates this website and the Bulk Research Supply mobile application (together, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you create an account or use the Services. It is issued in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission Act's prohibition on unfair or deceptive practices, including deceptive privacy and data security representations.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly
Name and email address, submitted when you create an account through our account creation form.
Name and email address, received when you choose to sign in with Google. We do not access or collect your Google password, contacts, or any other Google account data.
Phone number, if you choose to provide one. A phone number is optional.
Order information, including the products you order and shipping/delivery details, necessary to process and fulfill your order.
Information we do NOT collect
Payment method information. We do not collect, store, or retain credit or debit card numbers, bank account details, or any other payment method information in connection with the Services.
2. Payment Processing
Payments are processed through a self-hosted, non-custodial, open-source payment software stack that we operate on our own server infrastructure. Because this software is self-hosted:
All payment-related transaction records and customer deposit histories reside exclusively on our own servers. No customer personally identifiable information is transmitted to, collected by, monitored by, stored by, or reported to the software developer, any corporate cloud provider, or any third party by the payment software itself.
We do not have access to or retain your payment method details (such as card or bank account numbers); the payment software facilitates transactions without us taking custody of payment credentials.
If you choose to pay by card, the payment processor will prompt you to complete a one-time security verification as part of your payment.
If you use our mobile app for payment-related wallet management, the app requests device camera permission solely to scan QR codes. The app does not process, upload, store, or transmit any video or image content.
As the operator of the self-hosted instance, we are solely responsible for the data retention and privacy framework described in this policy — the payment software provider has no independent access to or role in handling your data.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the limited personal information we collect solely to:
Create and maintain your account;
Provide access to our full product catalog;
Process and fulfill your orders, including order status communications;
Respond to inquiries and provide customer support;
Send transactional communications related to your account or orders; and
If, and only if, you have opted in to receive promotional communications, use your email address and, if you provided one, your phone number to send you promotional communications from Bulk Research Supply. You may withdraw your opt-in at any time in your account settings or by contacting us at the email below.
Other than the opt-in promotional communications described above, we do not use your information for third-party advertising, marketing list building, or any purpose unrelated to providing the Services.
4. How We Share Your Information
We never sell your personal information, and we never share it with third parties for marketing, advertising, or any commercial purpose.
We share personal information only to the extent reasonably necessary to facilitate order fulfillment — for example, with shipping carriers or fulfillment providers who need your name, email, and delivery information to complete your order. These providers may use your information only to perform services for us and may not use it for their own purposes.
We may also disclose information when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Bulk Research Supply, our customers, or others.
5. Data Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, use, alteration, or destruction. This includes safeguards applied to the self-hosted payment infrastructure under our control. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data Retention
We retain your name, email address, and order history for as long as your account is active or as needed to fulfill orders, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We do not retain payment method information.
7. Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Your Privacy Rights
All Customers
You may review, update, or correct your account information at any time through your account settings.
You may delete your account at any time through your account settings, or request deletion of your account and personal information by contacting us at the email below. We will honor verifiable requests, except where retention is required by law.
If you signed in with Google, you may revoke the Services' access to your Google account at any time through your Google account settings.
State-Specific Rights
California (CCPA/CPRA), Virginia (CDPA), Colorado (CPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), and other states grant their residents certain rights regarding personal information, which may include:
Right to know/access — request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you;
Right to correction — request correction of inaccurate personal information;
Right to deletion — request deletion of personal information we have collected about you, subject to certain exceptions;
Right to opt out of sale or sharing — we do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, so no opt-out action is required; and
Right to non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below with the subject line "Privacy Rights Request." We will verify your identity and respond within the timeframe required by your state's law (generally 45 days, with one extension where permitted). You may use an authorized agent to submit a request where state law allows, subject to verification. We do not charge a fee to process your request unless your state's law expressly permits it and the request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.
9. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The Services use essential cookies — cookies and similar technologies strictly necessary to operate the Services and provide the functionality you request. These include:
Authentication/session cookies, which keep you signed in to your account and maintain your session while you use the Services; and
Security cookies, which help us protect your account and our Services from unauthorized access and abuse.
We may also use privacy-focused analytics tools to understand aggregate usage of the Services — for example, which pages are visited and how the Services perform. These analytics tools:
Do not collect, use, or store personally identifiable information;
Do not use cookies or similar technologies to track you across websites or over time;
Do not build user profiles or enable cross-context behavioral advertising; and
Do not sell or share any data they process with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Because the analytics we use are designed to be non-identifying and are not used for advertising, tracking, or profiling, the information they generate is not linked to you, your account, or your email address, and we cannot use it to identify any individual user.
We do not use advertising cookies, social media tracking pixels, retargeting tools, or any third-party behavioral tracking technologies. Because we do not use cookies for purposes beyond those strictly necessary for the operation of the Services and aggregate, non-identifying analytics, your continued use of the Services constitutes your acknowledgment of these cookies and tools. You may configure your browser to refuse or delete cookies; however, doing so may prevent you from signing in to or using certain features of the Services.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a prominent notice on the Services before the changes take effect. Material changes will not be applied retroactively to information collected under a prior version of this policy without notice and, where required, your consent.
